Example of The Nurture Team work.

This is an example of the work that is carried out in the Nurture Room.

Children are encouraged to come up with their own ideas and we provide the support and resources for them to achieve their goal.

This particular masterpiece was the idea of a child who wanted to design their own house. It started very small and then we added more and more paper to accommodate the flowing ideas.

This took over a week and was revisited during the school days at regular intervals until they were happy with the end result.

Any project includes learning by accident and we included Literacy (labelling all of the different rooms and pieces of furniture) numeracy ( lots of measuring, counting,estimating and  using different shapes)

Support was also given accessing the internet and collecting information and researching buildings and architectural structures.
