Cubert School

We have had a very busy past few weeks! The children have been learning about People Who Help Us and were excited when Owls class had a visit from a local police officer. The children asked some great questions and thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the police van and trying on some of the uniform.

As well as this, we have been celebrating World Book Day where everyone came to school in pyjamas and onsies. We got to take our favourite books to our Year 6 buddies from Curlews and shared them with them.  It was great fun and we're hoping to do this regularly as both classes enjoyed it so much.

Finally, we spent last week celebrating Science Week. Owls class had so many 'WOW' moments as we experimented, explored, discovered and invented. It was so exciting as the children walked on Oobleck (a liquid and a solid at the same time)! We made raisins dance and Rice Crispies jump. Owls class even made a volcano erupt!! We learned so many new words like friction, react, static.
